Children generally have difficulties handling stimuli in their lives which commonly leads to restlessness, hyperactivity, and anxiety. From an Ayurvedic point of view, this is called Vata. To suppress the strong cravings for sweets among children it is not important to give them something unhealthy as they can be rather provided with apple sauce, porridge, fresh fruits, etc. before meals.
